3, 2, and 4 Months

Wow, I really do need to re-dedicate myself to this blog.  Far too long goes by with no posts and then I feel completely overwhelmed with so much to catch up on!  So I still need to do the month of August and Sept., but first I wanted to make sure I recorded about my kiddos.  With 3 kids ages 3 and under, my life is anything but boring, lets just say that.  Chaos seems to reign for the most part, but at least the chaos is cute:-)  Many mothers are very good about blogging each month with their babies reporting sizes and what they are doing, so that has inspired me to start with my kids so I can remember them as they are in each stage.  And so I begin on this adventure with an overall report on all three.

Lorilyn Julene AKA, L.J. and Cheecher
- Age: 3 years and 8 months
- Height: 39"
- Weight: 31lb
- Goes to preschool 3 days a week, but would LOVE to go EVERY SINGLE DAY:-)
- Goes to lunch bunch every Monday even though it is expensive for us, but after weeks of begging and trying to sneak her way in there, fooling even the teachers, we gave in for one day/week.  And still every day she asks if tomorrow is Monday so she can go to lunch bunch after school.  Sunday evenings seem to be the most exciting part of her week since she gets the answer that the next day is Monday!
- She is a very good help to mommy with little Pyper
- She LOVES to antagonize her little brother in every way and whenever she can, but at the same time she looks up to him and doesn't like when he isn't around.
- She has a steel trap for a memory, just like her daddy.  She remembers EVERYTHING.
- She is beginning to write her letters and can write LJ by herself on her drawings
- She loves to learn new things and soaks up any information she can
- She is a mix of princess and cars
- She is a crazy ball of loud energy that can drive you insane one minute but have you laughing the next...we love our little 3 year old lady!

Daniel Scott AKA Danny, Bubby, Buggy
Age: 2
Height: 35" (66%)
Weight: 27.4lb (37%)
- This little boy has a heart of gold.  He has never once tried to hurt his baby sister, but instead can't give her enough kisses and calls her "Honey".
- Is very tolerant of his older sister taking his toys or messing with him and shares even when she doesn't deserve it.
- He is ALL BOY, as anyone who spends any time with him comes to find out.  Papa says he is "150% Boy" and Nana says shes never known more of an "All Boy" boy and that is saying something because they had 2 boys of their own!  If there is something to climb on, crash into, tackle, jump on, etc...he will do it and love it.  He often ends up hurting himself, especially his head (as the picture below shows), but that never stops him for more than a minute or two:-)
- His giggle is infectious
- If I've been away for any amount of time, even just a run to the grocery store, he greets me with a big "MOMMY!" and runs and hugs my leg.
- Any hurt can be made better with just a kiss from Mommy.  He will walk up crying and show me his ouchy, I will kiss it, he immediately stops crying and says "Thank you mommy!"
- LOVES cars and you will rarely see him without at least one car in his hand
- Frequently asks to watch football with daddy and if he sees the UofM logo he gets super excited and exclaims "Football...GO BLUE!"  This all makes for one very proud and happy daddy:-)
- Our little 2 year old boy is one of the sweetest souls I've known, full of energy, and brings so much joy to our house.  We love you Bubby!

Pyper Lynette AKA Pype-Dog and Kiki
Age: 4 1/2 months
Weight: 10lb 12oz (1%)
Height: 23" (3%)
- As a previous blog post of mine tells, this little lady is our little fighter.  She has had to fight her way into this life from the very beginning and continues to fight every day to recover and learn and develop.
- She is 4.5 months but her adjusted age (meaning you subtract her NICU stay time because that stay just brought her back to more like a normal new born) is 3 months.
- She is almost right on track developmentally for a 3 month old, which is a miracle in itself that she is doing so well with her start.  Every professional that sees her or gets to know her is floored and calls her a "miracle" based on how she began.
- She has begun smiling and we can guarantee a smile when we change her diaper, tickle her sides or play with her hands and arms.
- Her sweet spirit seems to radiate to everyone that comes in contact with her
- She rolls from her tummy to her back
- She has physical therapy every Wed and Speech therapy (to help her learn to swallow better) every Thursday and continues every week to improve and surprise the therapists with how well she is doing.
- The PT says she is definitely a fighter and definitely has a drive to grow and succeed
- She loves kisses from her big brother
- She has 2 hemangioma birth marks, one on her belly and one on her leg.  She gets these from her Nana:-)
- She has the cutest little dimple in her chin which we hear she gets from Grandpa Murnighan
- Her ears are definitely the defining characteristic of her appearance.  We call her our little Yoda,  but she is such a cute Yoda!  I do however love putting hats on her to see what she will look like with hair and not having those ears be so obvious.
- Her eyes tell you everything.  They smile when she is happy, they cry when she is sad, they turn red when she is tired, and they emit determination when she is concentrating.
- Her neck is getting very strong and she is beginning to work on sitting up
- She is now allowed to practice on a bottle a couple times a day but she hates it.
- The speech therapist promises she WILL be an eater, but it is a marathon, not a sprint
- We love our little fighter Pyper and are so blessed that she was allowed to come back to us and be a part of our little home.
