A Mother

5 Years ago (well in about 4 hours) I became a mother.  This was the one and only thing I had ever dreamed of being.  People, everyone really, including my college, asked what I wanted to be.  What do you want to major in?  Where are you going to use your knowledge and talents?  The only talents, even as a 18 year old,  I believed I wanted to increase and use for the rest of my life was my ability to be a wonderful wife and mother.  Yet, no one knows their future.  So I learned many things to help me survive and thrive in this world.  However, 9 years later, on February 5th, 2009, what I always dreamed of being came true.  Lorilyn Julene Stoianowski made me a mother.

My baby girl

Before I knew it she was a running crazy lady!

And an incredible helper chef!

Not to mention an AMAZING big sister/best friend to her Danny...

Yet always those big eyes and crazy spirit..

Before I knew it she started to become a girl and not a little toddler...

And what a beauty she became...

A beauty that is ALWAYS on the move and ALWAYS keeping us on our toes.

Now here she is, a day before she is 5.  I tried tonight, as I tucked her in, to talk to her about how 5 years ago she made me a mom.  How proud I was of the 5 year old girl she had become.  However the only thing she wanted to talk about was how much better she would be now that she is 5.  She said she wants to be a better sister to Pyper, and to help me with "Bubbles"(the name that has stuck for Stoi baby #4 in my belly) in any way she can.  However I brought it back to how I couldn't be more proud of her.  The spirit that joined our life and made me a mother 5 years ago.  She is more than I could have ever dreamed of.  She may drive us crazy with her questions, craziness and ambition.  But in the end she is Lorilyn, and "LJ" is nothing short of crazy and unpredictable.  And even though she may drive us insane at times, we love her, and will for eternity.
