We love baseball!

Ryan was invited to play on an adult men's baseball team and got to play his first game last friday. We didn't really know what to expect from the league, but it was surprisingly very competitive and exciting. They pitch around 80mph and some of the guys are pretty good. Ryan had a blast and did amazing. He claims to have not played since high school 8 years ago, but the show he put on makes that hard to believe. I was able to see what got him all those high school records in the sport! I loved it though, I was so proud! Since I was the only wife at the game I didn't want to embarrass him by taking pictures there, but I had to get a couple when we got home cuz he looked so good in that uniform!

Just some fun pics from the last 8 months!

Me and my wonderful mother-in-law Laurie, AKA Mama Jigs! This picture was last October tailgating before a Michigan football game. She just recently had her second brain surgery on a tumor in her pituitary. She is rallying back and quickly returning to her "sunshine" self. I am so blessed with incredible in-laws!

Ryan with his dad and younger brother Scott. What a handsome family!

They sure do love their Uncle Ryan!

This was the view from our condo in Marco Island, isn't it just beautiful?

And last but not least for today are our 2 wonderful kitties! The top one is Bubba and he is just a big cuddle bug. The bottom one is our lady Leyla. She is very sweet and loves being outside when we let her!

So I think that is it for the pictures from the past. We have had a wonderful first 8 months together and are excited to keep you updated on our lives from here on out!

Our First Blog!

Hello! Ryan and I decided it was time for us to join the blogging world. I thought since I live way out in this great state of Michigan that I needed a way to update everyone on our exciting lives (well maybe not that exciting, but you get the point). Just a little update if you haven't heard, Ryan and I were married earlier this year then headed off for a wonderful honeymoon in Marco Island, FL. We had some wonderful friends who allowed us to stay in their Beachside condo. It was a wonderful 6 days in a beautiful place. Since then we have slowly settled into life here in Maize and Blue country. The winter was pretty long and cold, but spring is here and it is just beautiful!

Ryan is working extremely hard and finding success trying to grow the family business, Willis Building, and I found a wonderful family to nanny for which I love dearly. There is a 6 year old girl (Olivia), a 4 year old boy (Evan) and a 1 year old boy (the adorable Owen). It is wonderful to have a job that you look forward to going to every day.

We also were blessed with the opportunity for a wonderful deal of joining Travis Pointe Country Club, the club that his parents are members at, and are having a blast working on our golf and tennis games. Ryan decided also that he wanted to be more productive at work in the mornings and so we get up at 5:15AM and go the the workout room in the club for a little exercise to get us ready to go for they day. We have also joined a co-ed slow pitch softball team who's games begin tonight, so we'll have to see how that goes. We both played lots of baseball/softball growing up so it should be pretty fun. I'm sure Ryan will be the star of the team as always, I'll just do my best not to look too bad!

Well I think that is most of the basics of our lives right now. We are extremely busy but loving every minute of it. Well hopefully from here on out I will keep a good record of our little (hopefully soon to be growing) family. I'm excited to have finally joined the blogging world!
