REALLY?!!!! I can't believe our little miracle girl is 9 months old! So much has occurred in the last 9 months, truthfully it all just seems like a blur. This little lady, is a fighter. Like we've said before, she fought her way her from the very beginning and she just continues to fight to learn and grow every day. She is definitely behind for a 9 month old, but that was always to be expected. She has to work harder than most babies to learn each thing, but she never stops trying. At the moment she has PT, OT, Speech and a nutritionist most every week. They are assisting her in making sure she continues in the right ways to hit each milestone. She is still fed all liquids through her G-tube, but she now is able to eat 2oz baby food by mouth and does a great job! The therapist promises that she will definitely be an eater, it is just a process to help her learn how. Here are her stats at 9 months:
Weight: 13lb 11oz (yes this is the less than 1%, but at least she is going up in weight, even if it is slow)
Height: 26.5 in (8%)
Head: 42.2 cm (25%)
She is now rolling to be able to get the things she wants and we are working on sitting up. Sometimes it is a bit difficult as I follow friends who had babies at the same time and see all they are doing that she isn't, but then I sit back and realize how blessed we are to even have her. She is our slow and steady girl, but they say that that wins the race! Her demeanor is so wonderful. She is by far the happiest and most laid back of all of my babies. Her smiles light up the room. She LOVES her daddy and talks (babbles) to him all the time. How blessed we are to have our Pyper Lynette in our family!
